Entrepreneurship is critical in driving economic growth and sustainable development across ASEAN. This webinar will explore how countries can promote dynamic entrepreneurship that contributes significantly to both economic growth and sustainable development. It will also delve into the transformative impact of digitalization on startups and businesses across various sectors.
The webinar features Willem Smit, professor at Fulbright University Viet Nam, who will present key findings from his recent research examining the role of digitalization in enhancing the sustainability and performance of 600 entrepreneurial startups across six ASEAN countries. The presentation will be followed by a 60-minute panel discussion on how ASEAN can nurture entrepreneurial ecosystems that promote growth and sustainability.
Smit is the lead faculty for entrepreneurship for the YSEALI Academy at Fulbright University Viet Nam. His research focuses on strategic decision-making, particularly in the areas of digitalization, entrepreneurship, and internationalization. He earned his doctoral degree in management from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
