The global #foodsystem accounts for roughly a third of total greenhouse gas emissions, of which a third comes from the food #supplychain. This system is also characterized by a large number of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly in Southeast Asia, who tend to be depicted as exhibiting only low or moderate levels of innovation.
Grow Asia is pleased to be supporting the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)’s 2022 #ENVforum, which is working to debunk this perception by highlighting how SMEs are playing a critical role in decarbonizing food supply chains and enabling circular food production.
